Hi This is Sally :) This is my first time posting on this blog, so far it has been just Ryan.
We have officially sent out the invitations, as of this afternoon. Next on the agenda is to finalize the photography contract, set a date for our engagement photos (I know it is a little late) and check out wedding cakes!
We had our first cake tasting on Saturday morning at Hillcrest Bakery in Bothel. It was very yummy! Jane Connors (ryan's mother) also came with us and we all went to breakfast afterwards, thanks Jane!! I think we were all pretty impressed with Hillcrest bakery http://www.hillcrestbakery.com/, they have been family owned & operated for 40 years! What a fun family business :) They had many fun cake fillings and flavors to try. My favorite was the spice cake with buttercream frosting and hazelnut filling. However, Ryan is a fan of the berry fillings so you'll just have to wait & see what we come up with! :) Next, I think we are going to visit and taste some of the more commercial cake bakeries and the decision will probably be based on taste Vs. price.
I am very much looking forward to the upcoming bridal showers, one in Sumner hosted by my mother (Pam) & sisters (Amy, Alison & Katie) and another in Seattle hosted by Jane and Nicole. Well now I am off to the post office to drop off the last of the invitations!
